its the little things in life

all 9 seasons of The X-Files are on instant watch Netflix. this makes me a happy girl. i'm watching/ making L watch it from the beggining.

** side note, not all of the seasons are awesome. i'd say the first half are the best.

i've seen 2 awesome posters/wall art on my blogs this morning, so i thought i'd put one up,too! the artist doesn't have one made up of all NYC, but she does have this one of New Orleans (L and i have been to these places!)-

The Great Gatsby

i've decided to find myself a copy of this book and read it again. i read it only once in HS, for a class, and didn't like it very much. i'm thinking now that it was either because i didn't really understand it or we had to over-analyze it for that class. plus i love many style things from the 20s.

so... anyone have a copy i can borrow?!

its annoying-

-when random people meet Dog and ask how much he cost. what does it matter?! unless i am talking to you about purchasing a Frenchie, please don't ask what i paid for him. even then, i probably won't tell you exactly. because thats kind of rude.

what a lovely autumnal evening for dinner with friends tonight! i will try to remember to take pictures of the food :)

a morning PoD

most days, L leaves for work before i do. Dog generally goes back to sleep while i finish getting ready. he has many choices on which to nap- his ll.bean bed, his mat, the people bed, the couch, the ikea poang chair he claimed as his. but no, his favorite morning nap spot is... L's laundry pile!

shot in the arm

and by "shot in the arm" i mean i got my flu shot. or as L calls it "flu proofed"!
